Maximum Ventilation

Heat is the number one reason riders here leave their gear at home. Sitting at the lights on Jalan Tun Razak at 2pm in a solid jacket is miserable, and gear that's miserable doesn't get worn. So this collection keeps it simple. It's the gear in our range that moves the most air, with no drop in certification.

The Acerbis Ramsey Vented 2.0 jacket uses large mesh panels and is still certified to CE EN 17092 Class AA, with CE EN 1621-1 Level 1 armour at the shoulders and elbows. It comes in a women's cut too, and the Ramsey Vented Long adds a longer cut for touring. If you ride through the monsoon as well as the heat, the Acerbis Gordon pairs a vented outer with a removable waterproof membrane. It's certified to CE EN 17092 Class A, with Level 2 armour at the shoulders and elbows. For your hands, the FIVE Stunt EVO2 and SF1 EVO and the Acerbis Ramsey MY Vented gloves are all certified to CE EN 13594 Level 1 KP, with ventilated knuckles or mesh backs. Swap your trainers for Sidi Arx Air or Nucleus Air riding shoes, which have mesh uppers and are certified to CE EN 13634. Find your size in the range above.

Q: Is mesh gear less protective?
A: Not by default. Protection comes from the CE class and the armour, not from whether the panels are mesh. The Ramsey Vented 2.0 is a mesh jacket certified to CE EN 17092 Class AA. AAA is the highest class, then AA, then A, which suits lower speed road and city riding.

Q: What happens when it rains?
A: Mesh lets water in as easily as air, and some vented gear isn't designed for rain, like the Acerbis Ramsey MY Vented gloves. Keep a rain suit in your bag, or choose the Acerbis Gordon, which has a removable waterproof membrane.
