Rain Protection

In Malaysia it's not if it rains, it's when. A soaked rider gets cold, loses feel on the controls, and is harder for drivers to see through the spray, so we treat rain gear as part of your protection, not an extra. The simplest fix is a rain suit worn over your normal riding jacket and pants. The Acerbis Micropak 10K rain jacket and pants are rated to 10,000 mm of waterproofing. The Acerbis Rain Suit Logo gives you a jacket and trousers together, with taped seams, a vent across the back, and reflective details so you're easier to spot in the wet.

If you'd rather not stop and change, the Acerbis Gordon jacket is mesh for the heat with a removable waterproof membrane for the downpour. It's certified to CE EN 17092 Class A, with CE EN 1621-1 Level 2 armour at the shoulders and elbows. Finish your kit with FIVE's GT2 EVO WP+ or Ranger WP waterproof gloves, both certified to CE EN 13594 Level 1 KP. Add Sidi Nucleus GTX or Urbex WP riding shoes, certified to CE EN 13634, and a waterproof Kriega backpack, tail pack, or drypack. That way you walk into the office dry from top to toe. Q: Is HJC a good helmet brand?
A: HJC has been making helmets since 1971 and became number one for helmet sales in North America in 1992. Every HJC helmet we sell is certified to ECE 22.06, the current European standard, which includes rotational impact testing.

Q: Which HJC helmet is best for commuting?
A: We recommend the C10. It's the simpler of the two, with three intakes and two exhausts for stop start traffic and a liner you can wash. If you also ride long highway days, the C71 adds a sun visor and speaker pockets.
