How to measure: Measure the circumference of your head with the tape about an inch (2.5 cm) above your eyebrows, at the widest point around the back of the head.
Head shape matters too. Helmets are shaped for round, intermediate or long oval heads, so a helmet in your size can still press on the forehead or feel loose at the sides if the shape is wrong.

Flip up convenience with strong everyday value
If you commute during the week and tour at weekends, the Acerbis Serel 22-06 gives you an ECE 22.06 modular helmet designed in Italy, in a strong everyday value package. Its flip up chin bar lets you open the front at stops, and the integrated sun visor drops down with an external slider when the sun is harsh. The outer visor also accepts a Pinlock 70 anti fog insert, sold separately, for rides in rain and humidity.
If you want to add a comms unit for navigation, music or group chats, the helmet has recesses for aftermarket speakers up to 40 mm in diameter and 6 mm thick. Top and chin vents, an adjustable rear exhaust, a micrometric quick release buckle and a removable, washable liner round out a useful everyday setup.
