Light protection for hot city and touring rides
On a hot day in the city or a long sport touring ride, a bulky lined glove is the last thing you want. The Carbon G 5.0 is a light, unlined road glove, so there is no padded layer inside, giving you certified protection that stays easy to wear through a long, hot day without the bulk of a touring glove.
The back mixes polyester, nylon, polyurethane, neoprene and goatskin for flexibility with structure, while the Nanofront synthetic leather palm gives you strong grip and durability where your hand meets the bars, helped by silicone grip details. A rigid knuckle protector and a dedicated palm slider provide the protection, and a wrist strap with Velcro closure keeps the fit secure and stable. Touchscreen compatibility lets you use a phone or GPS when stopped.
Key features
- Certified protection: EN 13594:2015 Level 1 KP
- Nanofront synthetic leather palm: provides a grippy contact surface with strong wear resistance
- Silicone palm grip: silicone details on the palm add grip at the controls for damp bars
- Rigid knuckle protector: adds structured coverage across the back of the hand
- Palm slider: a dedicated slider on the heel of the hand, designed to slide across the road surface instead of gripping or catching it if you put your hand down in a fall
- Mixed textile and goatskin upper: balances movement, structure and durability
- Unlined construction: no padded inner layer, keeping the glove light for riding in heat and humidity
- Wrist strap with Velcro closure: secures the glove for a stable fit
- Touchscreen compatibility: lets you use a smartphone or GPS when stopped without removing the gloves

What riding suits the Acerbis Carbon G 5.0?
It is designed for road use, including city riding and sport touring in heat and humidity.
What is the palm made from?
The palm uses Nanofront synthetic leather, with silicone grip details, to provide grip and wear resistance at the controls.
Does it have a palm slider?
Yes. A palm slider sits on the heel of the hand. It is designed to slide across the road surface if you put your hand down in a fall, instead of the palm gripping or catching the ground.
