Sport/Jalan Raya

Sport riding puts more wind, more lean, and more speed through your gear than a commute does, so this range starts with the helmet. The Shark Spartan GT Pro Carbon, Spartan RS Carbon, and Skwal Cup are full face sport bike helmets with front intakes and rear extractors that pull hot air out of the shell. The HJC C71 adds a sun visor for longer days.

All of them are certified to ECE 22.06, and the carbon shells cut weight, which your neck will thank you for by the last hairpin. In a fall, your hands go out first, so sport gloves earn their place. The FIVE RFX2 EVO, SF1 EVO, and Stunt EVO2 and the Acerbis Carbon G 5.0 are all certified to CE EN 13594 Level 1 KP. The KP means the knuckle protection has passed its own impact test. Pair them with the Acerbis Ramsey Vented 2.0 mesh jacket, certified to CE EN 17092 Class AA, and add the D3O Viper Air back protector, certified to CE EN 1621-2 Level 2. Sidi Nucleus Air riding shoes, certified to CE EN 13634, let you walk around at the top of Genting without waddling. Compare fits in the range above.

Q: What's the difference between Level 1 and Level 2 armour?
A: Both are tested to CE EN 1621. Level 2 has to let less force through to your body in the same impact test, so it absorbs more of the hit. That's why we stock the Level 2 D3O Viper Air for your back.

Q: Can I use sport gloves for commuting?
A: Yes, they're certified to the same standard. Sport gloves usually have more knuckle armour and a closer fit, which some riders find warm in traffic. If you mostly ride in town, the FIVE urban gloves in our Daily Commute range are designed for that.
