Open Face Helmets
Open face helmets keep the airflow going for short trips and city riding. Certified to ECE 22.06, with the chin left uncovered in exchange for a cooler ride.
Open-face is the coolest helmet shape you can wear and still be properly certified for safety. Riders reach for it on the school run, the mamak stop and anywhere the ride is short and the traffic is slow. Every one here carries ECE 22.06, so what you lose in chin coverage you do not lose in shell and impact protection.
The trade-off is real, no chin bar means no chin protection, so we recommend open-face for low speed, short distance riding rather than the highway. Pair it with a visor for eye protection and check for a Pinlock-ready shield if you ride in the rain. Compare against full-face and modular helemts for more coverage on longer rides.
